Are you an engineer looking for an exciting challenge as part of a team? ACS is looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to help serve the needs of our clients. The Systems Integration Engineer will assist with test equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning as ACS serves the automotive engine and vehicle test market. Contract position but is also negotiable and could be a permanent position.
Key responsibilities include:
Ability to work with Designers and Test Equipment vendors to ensure requirements of a test centre project will be met by both facility and equipment design; ability to work with clients and vendors to specify, procure, and manage the design/delivery and installation of major test bed equipment, including instrumentation, dynamometers, data acquisition systems, and emissions equipment; ability to work with mechanical, controls, and fabrication groups to design, build, and integrate custom hardware and components required to support testing projects/processes.
The requirements of the candidate include:
- A University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- 2-5 years’ experience or involvement with (automotive) product, system testing, or development and/or applicable internship experience
- Awareness of emissions equipment & standards (gaseous & particulate), data acquisition systems, dynamometers (chassis and engine), and instrumentation. Experience or understanding of HVAC and system control would be a plus
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work as a committed team member
- Must be able to travel to customer centres for client meetings, equipment installation supervision, and commissioning oversight – including the associated device and system technical troubleshooting
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and Europe
