Quality Assurance Inspector

We have an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company as a Quality Assurance Inspector, with their team based in Aston, Birmingham.

The successful candidate will need to ensure that all produce entering the premises meets the required specification, in order to ensure that all products leaving the premises meet the customers specifications. They will also need to maintain and adhere to all procedures and systems, whilst meeting all legal and customer requirements.

Main duties will include:

• Carrying out quality checks on all incoming produce
• Flagging products as appropriate
• Prioritising quality reports based on organoleptic testing
• Issuing daily consignment reports to on-line quality control staff
• Completing the departmental key performance indicator (KPI) sheet daily
• Conducting internal audits and checking of systems as required
• Attending daily technical and sales meetings
• Conducting pre-departure checks for all customers
• Preparing samples for sale
• Issuing non-conformances to staff as required and expedite corrective action.
• Maintaining effective communication with all levels and attend technical and sales meetings as necessary

Successful candidates will always:

• Liaise with suppliers and customers professionally
• Carry out all tasks assigned by the technical manager and team leader in a professional manner
• Work to agreed shift patterns including nights where applicable
• Dress in attire suitable for cold conditions and wear safety footwear

The rate of pay for this position is £6.90 per hour.
