Position: Procurement Project Analyst - 9 month contract – Fixed Term​
Location: Salfords, Surrey
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

The Procurement Project Analyst Role:
An experienced Procurement Project Manager is required to manage complex sourcing, supplier development and internal supply chain process projects across a range of technical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities of The Procurement Project Analyst:

 

  • Project manage the flow of materials across suppliers and intercompany partners to ensure the effective meeting of departmental and business objectives
  • Provide support to the R&D/engineering function in a procurement capacity to improve product reliability from suppliers in respect of all deliverables
  • Provide procurement support during value engineering activities with suppliers and strategic make vs buy decisions
  • Work collaboratively with QA, engineering, production, purchasing and planning to ensure project deadlines are met both internally and throughout the supply base
  • Take ownership of dual-sourcing projects for both critical and non-critical components/suppliers
  • Undertake benchmarking exercises with new and existing suppliers to aide cost reduction projects
  • Attend suppliers sites and work collaboratively with all suppliers to formulate key partnerships during all procurement projects
  • Support any internal manufacturing projects which require supplier project management to aide internal processes eg: flow of materials/external logistics
  • Work collaboratively with other Project Managers from different departments to meet company wide objectives

Experience and Attributes:

 

 

  • Proven ability to work well with others at all organisational levels, to organise and prioritise, and to participate on cross-functional teams
  • Experience in procurement and supply chain processes, including but not limited to quality management and financial analysis
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, performance monitoring and contractual obligations
  • A proven track record in working to; and meeting SLA’s
  • Excellent IT skills, Microsoft project but also experience in ERP/MRP systems beneficial
  • Proven ability to understand and manipulate complex data sets
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

Qualifications & Knowledge:

 

 

  • Relevant procurement/supply chain experience
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Business or Science/Engineering beneficial
  • CIPS Qualified (or training towards) would be beneficial
