This post offers an excellent opportunity for a software developer to become involved in programmes of work designed to enhance, automate and modernise a large data capture and workflow operation.
Primary Care Services, a division of the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, is based in the dynamic and fast growing city of Cardiff. NWSSP provides centralised services to support NHS Wales in delivering front line healthcare. Primary Care Services provides patient registration, contractor management, reimbursement and post payment verification services for NHS primary care contractors.
Successful candidates will have a depth of knowledge and experience in a software development role and be able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of application development, internet and database technologies.
The main responsibilities of the posts are to:
- Interpret customer requirements, design and develop new Information and I.T applications.
- Lead application development projects, advising and monitoring the work of other developers.
- Support and maintain existing systems with minimum supervision.
You should have a sound understanding of the following:
- Agile development methods
- Relational database design and development using MS SQL Server and MS SQL Server Analysis Services
- Windows forms application development in a client/server environment
- Web application/web service development in MS ASP.net
- Application life cycle management via MS Team Foundation Server
