Payroll & Finance Assistant £25k - £28k Near Swansea (South Wales)

The Role

The Payroll & Finance Assistant will report to the Senior Payroll Officer, and will be responsible for assisting with running 4 payrolls (including pension's payroll) and for ensuring correct implementation of personnel data. The role will also assist the Corporate Accountant with the monthly routines and processes as required. Duties will include:

• ensuring accurate payments are made to employees
• providing analytical data to management team
• administering deduction of pension contributions / providing data for calculations
• maintaining records / documents in line with legislation / company requirements
• assisting with preparation of pensions cash book / reconciliation
• assisting with reconciliation of bank accounts as directed by Corporate Accountant

Our client is part of a global mining operation, the company operates two Refineries in the UK employing approx. 300 people. They are a market leading processing, manufacturing and production company, offering a fantastic working environment.

The Person

The successful Payroll & Finance Assistant will ideally have previous experience within a payroll processing environment and will demonstrate excellent organisation and communicational skills. You will have strong written communication skills together with a high level of numeracy. You will be able to work to high standards of accuracy, paying close attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
