Key Accounts Coordinator - Southampton
Location: Direct Sales Office, Southampton, Head Office
Hours: 40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday - Friday
Our client is an independent family owned Builders Merchant established for 173 years, with 13 Branches in the South and a current turnover of £50m. Due to a recent upturn in trade they are now looking to employ additional personnel in certain areas of the business
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients newly formed Key Accounts team, co-ordinating the efficient supply of products to our key accounts (national house builders), maintaining good relations, and supporting further growth of new accounts
Key Accounts Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating supply of products to customer sites - liaison with internal branch staff providing notice of site requirements including sufficient time to order products and prepare orders to customer requirements
- Building relationships with site staff and company buyers, ensuring customer expectations are maintained and improved as necessary
- Preparing quotes for goods as required; this will include take off from plans and requests from sites and buyers
- Proactively look for sales opportunities from existing and new customers, contributing to higher sales and margins
- Co-ordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability and develop business opportunities
Key Accounts Coordinator Requirements:
- Good all round knowledge of building materials
- Ability to understand and interpret building plans to produce take offs and quotes (desirable, training can be provided)
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- General IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Methodical work process to ensure high standards and accuracy are maintained throughout
- Ability to work on own initiative and motivate others
- Plan and organise workload to meet strict deadlines
