Multi skilled Site Maintenance Operative

Our client have an opportunity for a Multi skilled Site Maintenance Operative to join the team based in Ainsdale, Southport. Working on a full time, permanent basis, the successful applicant will receive a competitive salary of £16,000 per annum.

Due to their success and further expansion, they now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, intelligent and experienced Multi Skilled Site Maintenance Operative to look after their sites and buildings

The Multi skilled Site Maintenance Operative will carry out the principal duties:

- General Building, including Glazing, Masonry, Plastering, Guttering & Roofing

- To perform construction, and building maintenance work involving the above construction trades.

- Painting & Decorating

- To perform surface preparation and application of paints, wallpapers, stains and related products on building structure and fabric internally and externally.

- Plumbing & Electrical Work

- To perform installation, maintenance and repair of domestic and/or industrial plumbing both on water and heating systems, installing drainage/waste systems, fabricating and fixing leadwork.

- To perform installation and maintenance of industrial and domestic electrical systems, equipment and devices, carry out minor additions to circuits including ballasts, testing and fault finding.  PAT testing

- Carpentry/Joinery

- To carry out first and second fix carpentry in the alteration and construction of buildings, cabinets and specialty wood items, together with general maintenance of building fabric, structure and sundry items pertinent to this trade.

General Duties of the Multi skilled Site Maintenance Operative may also include:

- You will be required to carry out a number of key building tasks in addition to the skills for which you have either served an apprenticeship or be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge, to produce a good to a high standard of work.

- Priority will be given to applicants who hold a CSCS card or are Corgi registered

- Maintain on site awareness and observation and act in accordance with duties and responsibilities under the appropriate health and safety statutory and company requirements.

- To report any potential and actual operational concerns to Head Office as soon as reasonably possible

- To immediately report any health and safety issues to the Head Office

- To update, inform and advise Head Office of job progression and completion standards as required.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

- The successful candidate will be expected to travel between branches so a full driving license with no more than 6 points is essential to this post.

- Carry out any additional tasks reasonably requested by the management team
