Full Time Information and Support Worker based in Fareham

Basic Salary: £14,565 per annum (pro rata) + benefits including, Excellent & certified training, Childcare Voucher Scheme, Pension scheme, Paid mileage & Company sick pay.

We are a registered charity that has been providing care, support and advice for 30 years to vulnerable people across Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new in Hampshire and will provide successful candidates with a chance to take forward a brand new and rewarding role.

The Information and Support Worker will be part of the new Prevention and Enablement Service for Vulnerable Adults aimed and will help people in Hampshire to access information, advice and support via the telephone. The Support Worker will ensure clients are greeted warmly over the phone and will support them by listening to what they tell us about the help they need to enable them to lead secure and independent lives. The Information and Support Worker role is client facing and the postholders will be responsible for actively building trusting relationships with clients contacting the service in order to help them access local services and drop-ins as required.

It is essential that you have experience of working with vulnerable adults and can demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people who may have recently undergone a change in circumstances or deterioration in their ability to carry out the functions of daily living.

The role will be based in our offices in Fareham, but the service covers the whole of the South East and West of Hampshire and as such the successful candidates may be required to travel across the area at time. It is therefore also essential that you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work and business insurance.
