Clarriots Care in Preston are now seeking a dynamic Health & Social care Apprentice.

Male and female applicants are welcome but preferably candidates must live within 5 miles .

As an new apprentice you will be a valued member of our care team, covering Bamber Bridge and surrounding areas, to provide high quality care to clients and their families within the community.

You will work alongside other experienced staff and learn all aspects of the role including personal care, preparing meals, prompting medication and light domestic work. Also we offer social activities and outings with clients.

You will also learn other aspects of the business including the Customer management database and rota preparation and other administration tasks.

You will receive excellent support and mentoring from the management team

You must be a Car driver and have access to a vehicle. (if however you not yet passed your test but are in the process of learning to drive and have a planned timetable in which you will have taken your test  (and will have use of a car once passed) we will still consider you for the role.  Male and female applicants are welcome but preferably candidates must live within 5 miles .

We Pay 25 pence per mile for work related travel.

You will be expected to work shifts  during weekdays – between the hours 7AM (earliest start) and 10PM (latest finish)

You will have time off and  you don’t work every day!

Alternate weekend work is mandatory  (We allow some flexibility in rota’s subject to agreement with the management, we are fair in this respect)

Holidays 26 Paid days per calendar year

The wage is £3.30 an hour.

The successful candidates will need to apply for a DRB certificate and will be required to supply previous reference prior to being offered the position

Candidates must have at least 4 GCSE grades A-C including English Language.

The Apprenticeship training for this vacancy will be provided by Runshaw College. As this is a funded Apprenticeship programme it is not open to candidates who have already achieved a qualification at Level 4 or above.
