A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part Time HR Advisor to work for a prestigious international manufacturing company in Poynton, Manchester. You will be working closely with the HR Managers and Team Leaders to ensure that best practice is being adhered to and all available tools and techniques are being used to enable all teams to perform at their highest levels, so experience within a similar position will be required.

Working Hours: Monday –Thursday: 9.30am- 2.30pm and Fri 9.30-12 (22.5 hours pw)
The role
As the HR Advisor you will work with the Managers and Team Leaders of the HR Department to gain a deeper understanding of the business and its objectives. Upon gaining thorough knowledge and understanding of the department and it’s goals, you will provide generalist HR service to managers and staff, whilst also: 
•    Advising on HR policies, procedures and best practice
•    Provide information on terms and conditions of employment
•    Maintain the in-house HR administrative systems
•    Recruiting and being the HR link between the Poynton office and the Hook office to ensure consistency
•    Ensure that your knowledge of employment law is up to date in line with any changes
•    Work closely with the recruitment team to establish and understanding of how to recruit and retain the right people and develop their knowledge of recruitment methods and human resource planning

What you’ll need
•    Educated to degree level
•    CIPD qualified (Level 5 or equivalent)
•    Good working knowledge of employment law sufficient to advise senior management on HR and employee relations issues.
•    Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a HR generalist role 
•    Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent office administration skills including managing own workload and use of IT including HRIS.
•    Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships.
