Our client is looking for a talented and self-motivated Account Manager, with recent experience within a sales role and be responsible for developing business within the customer base to join their team. Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will understand selling in the business-to-business world and have knowledge of eCommerce. Working Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, you will support the EDI Division of our client’s company.

The role
As the Account Manager you will be working with existing customers at all levels to develop new business opportunities and create fresh opportunities with existing accounts. You will manage selected prospective customers and learn about the software and services which our client provides and become comfortable and confident in presenting and demonstrating these when required. Your responsibilities will include:
• Be the ‘human interface’ between the company and existing customers, especially our SME customers.
• Generating and developing business with existing customers. The incumbent is responsible for new account development and expanding existing accounts.
• Creating awareness and demand for company products within the customer base.
• Developing technical expertise related to products and industry.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with standards organisations, distributors and customers.

The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable communicative skills, both written and verbal and be able to work as an effective and valuable member of the team. You will also possess:
• A degree or similar
• Experience in business-to-business selling
• Hold a track record in account development
• Willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license
