An excellent opportunity for a commercially-focussed, Supply Chain professional to join an expanding site, part of a major packaging group, currently enjoying £multi-million investment.

The Aptar Group of Companies is the leader in the global dispensing systems industry with 13,000 dedicated employees and a manufacturing presence in 20 different countries, delivering innovative packaging solutions and providing enhanced quality products for the food, beverage, pharma, beauty and home care markets.

Aptar’s 24/7 injection moulding and assembly facility in Morley, Leeds (just off the M62) is currently undergoing major expansion and £multi-million investment programme, ahead of major new product introduction, which will see the site grow by 25% in 2016.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for defining and implementing a ‘benchmark’ supply chain function, delivering value to customers (internally and externally), through effective SCM strategies. Reporting to the Director of Operations and, as part of the Senior Management Team, you will work closely with a blue chip customer base in order to deliver continuous improvement across the supply chain, identifying opportunities for service enhancement, improved capacity modeling and areas of cost reduction, whilst ensuring accurate forecasting and the delivery of high quality products, on time and in full.  Your extensive remit will include inbound and outbound flow of polymer materials and finished goods, logistics and inventory, in addition to local purchasing and the management and development of a team of 7 across Goods Inwards, Customer Service , Warehouse & Distribution ( via 3PL).

Ideally educated to degree level and ideally, but not essentially, with formal supply chain qualifications, you must be able to demonstrate your understanding of all aspects of the supply chain and the impact it has on customer care.  Your experience will have been gained in a fast moving, high volume, manufacturing environment, where you have delivered significant efficiency and cost improvements.

Your communication and negotiation skills will be combined with experience of process and systems improvement, and a commitment to leading and developing your team.   An excellent working knowledge of SAP is essential.

You will now be seeking a position where you can develop a long term career with an organisation with visionary Core Values which nurtures and rewards talent.
