IT Support Technician
IT Support Technician is required to join our current small team: Reporting directly to the IT Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the servers, hardware and software on site, training others as well as offering remote support to external sites and sales managers.
Day to day duties include:
- General hardware and software troubleshooting
- Checking backups daily, using Altaro Hyper V Backup, Symantec backup software, and Windows in-built backup software.
- Running software training / training workshops
- Installing operating systems and software onto new build PCs
- Network cabling in the server room
- Setup of new employees with email access, user profiles, and ID cards
- Adding new users into the phone system
- Network printer install and management
Applicants must have:
- Good working knowledge of multiple operating systems and software including:
- Windows XP up to 7, Windows Server 2003 up to 2012 R2, Apple iOS and Android
- Microsoft Office 2010/2013
- Experience in using Active Directory to add in new users and security settings
- Experience in Microsoft Exchange for email account setup and mail/calendar permissions
- Good communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- The ability to pick up and learn new software relatively quickly
- Experience in general PC hardware maintenance - swapping out hard drives, installing new graphics card etc.
Trainee IT candidates may be considered. Full training will be given on software and in-house systems as and when required.
