Payroll Supervisor

The role is based in a Head Office for an Recruitment Agency near St Albans and is responsible for being part of the payroll team that process the payroll for 700+ members of contractors

Key responsibilities will include:

- Processing the weekly and monthly payroll functions for all members of staff in the organisation
- Processing all new starter and leavers and ensuring all relevant documentation is logged on the system
- Assisting in RTI submissions
- Maintaining year end procedures including the production of P60s and P11ds
- Performing manual calculations and processing statutory entitlements including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
- Investigating and resolving complex payroll queries
- Ensuring that all relevant documentation complies with HMRC legislation
- Supervising and assisting Payroll Assistants

Person:

The successful candidate will have:

- Experience processing the end-to-end payroll process a high pressured payroll environment, preferably from within a larger company
- A comprehensive understanding of RTI and auto enrolement
- Computer literacy (Experience using payroll software)
- Studying for AAT qualification
- The ability to effectively resolve high volumes of payroll queries and cope under pressure
