Financial Controller

Our client is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to work within the Finance and Operations Department based at their Manchester Office.

The main purpose of the role is:

To support the Director of Operations & Finance in Managing the Financial Administration of the company

Main duties of the role include (but are not limited to):

Management of   the Operational Finance Team including Cashiers (Data Input), Credit Control and Payroll

Provision of technical financial advice to operational departments

Preparation of Financial Accounts including the preparation of all journals and control account reconciliations

Reviewing and assessing internal financial procedures/controls to ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal guidelines

VAT Returns and Liaison with HMRC

Liaison with the Firm’s bankers

Liaison with Auditors

Liaison with Clients and Suppliers

Preparation of Financial Performance Information for presentation to the Board and other key stakeholders

And such ad hoc reports/duties as may be required from time to time.

Desired Skills and Experience:

•              Qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA

•              Strong IT skills and knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word etc.

•              Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills

•              Excellent attention to detail
