Exciting opportunity in Yorkshire Water Project Manager This is a temporary opportunity for 12 months Based in Bradford As a Project Manager you will lead a multi-discipline project team within a partnering environment. You will ensure that programmes of work deliver the objectives and that project risks are managed in line with business targets, whilst ensuring health and safety compliance.
Salary & Benefits – Up to £37,000.00 per annum + attractive pension + quarterly performance related pay + 25 days holiday
You will deliver overall project management for projects across the business, taking responsibility for the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of these projects and ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals . This is a key role in leading and embedding change within the business .
What will the role involve?
You will manage a portfolio of projects across the Business Support Group and Business Units in line with company governance. You will lead, scope and manage projects, ensuring projects and resources are delivered to time, cost and quality. You will also manage all risks within the project portfolio and report on these risks to the Programme Manager.
You will take a lead role in the monitoring and forecasting of project expenditure and programme, whilst ensuring effective delivery. You will be responsible for identifying, communicating and reporting changes including the identification and development of risk mitigation measures.
You will produce high quality reports indicating the key elements of a project in relation to return on investment, cost, time, risk, the business case and implementation plan.You will ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately; through the appropriate governance process across the department and maintain all relevant corporate systems in relation to project specific activities.
What skills are we looking for?
You will have previous experience of managing and leading a project team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets.You will also have experience of project planning, resource and budget management.
A strong communicator, able to influence, you will be comfortable building up effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
