Year 2 Teacher required for a January 2016 start in Torpoint until the end of May 2016.
The School are looking for a teacher with enthusiasm, dedication and a clear knowledge of the curriculum.
The Job
We are looking for a Qualified Primary School Teacher who has:
* Qualified Teacher Status or Newly Qualified Teacher Status
* Proven experience in teaching at primary level with an understanding and good working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
* Drive, ambition, highly motivated, dynamic, willing to be flexible
* A keen interest in ensuring pupils progress to their full potential by challenging, supporting and engaging pupils, with a commitment towards raising achievements and standards.
* Ability to adapt teaching to different abilities
* Can demonstrate success in raising standards

The School:

*School is much larger than the average primary school.
* An above-average proportion of pupils are supported by the pupil premium, which provides
additional funding for certain groups. In this school it applies to pupils who are looked after
outside the family or known to be eligible for free school meals.
* The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs supported
through school action is average. The proportion supported at school action plus or with a
statement of special educational needs is above average.
