Job Role:
The company is looking to recruit an experienced contract negotiator to join their Sales Operations team. Sales Operations has a broad remit to support the operation of the international sales team and enhance its effectiveness through leading the negotiation and signature of the customer contracts. The successful candidate will join a small team responsible for contract negotiations and deal analysis for sales campaigns with network operators around the world, and for providing the link between frontline Sales and the in-house Legal and Finance teams. This is a period of rapid change in the industry both of technology and revenue models, which means that the successful candidate will have plenty of interesting challenges and real scope to shape the way the company does business as they grow. The position will report direct to the VP Sales Operations.
The role will ideally be based at the company's head office in Enfield, North London, and require travel to customer sites or other offices in the UK and overseas as and when required.
There is flexibility for the role to be based in the USA or any other location but this is dependent upon the candidate's individual experience.
Key Responsibilities:
This full-time role will be based in Enfield, UK, and includes some international travel. The duties will include:
- Tailoring our standard contract documents for particular situations
- Coordinating the business and legal review of third-party contracts
- Negotiating and agreeing contract terms
- Analysing risks and costs arising from particular contract terms
- Advising on options for deal structure
- Managing the process to contract closure
- Conduct post-contract management through supporting additional business and addressing queries on contract interpretation
Key Requirements:
For this position, the company need someone who has the following:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience of contract negotiation in the telecoms, software or a closely related sector
- Good understanding of software licensing and hardware purchase agreements
- Experience at negotiating and closing $1m+ contracts
- Experience at working effectively with cross-functional teams
- English language fluency is essential, other language skills including Spanish would be an advantage
- Degree-level education
