This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established accountancy practice as the organisation's Financial Reporting Accountant.
Our client is seeking a candidate to come in and prepare the published audited Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2015. This role will require strong project management skills and will also include the preparation of an audited interim ARA prepared as at 31 December 2015.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* You will prepare the 2014/15 Annual Reports and Accounts.
* You will prepare the Interim Report and Accounts at at 31/12/15.
* You will continually review the process of preparing the accounts from the accounting records, enabling effective handover.
* You will take ownership and responsibility of the development of the model used to map the accounting records to the ARA.
* You take ownership and development of the Word and pdf documents which form the ARA.
* You will project manage the process including proactive coordination of contributors some of whom are unfamiliar with the requirements.
* You will ensure the establishment of effective and supportive working relationships throughout the organisation particularly within the Finance Directorate.
* You will take control of the management of the external audit, ensuring all audit queries and issues are dealt with effectively.
* You will manage the external designers including proper version control.
* You will draft, facilitate, review and validate contributors to the ARA as necessary/
* You will support the Financial Controller as required.
Role Essentials:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
* Investment Accountant experience.
* Financial Services experience, Life Assurance and/or Pensions desired.
* Strong project management skills.
* Strong IFRS and general financial reporting skills.
