Exciting opportunity in Yorkshire Water Product and Process Manager Based in Esholt, Bradford but with regular travel to Harrogate and York as part of the role. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Product & Process Manager to join the Energy and Recycling team part of the Service Delivery section of the business. You will lead a multi-disciplined operational team across 3 x Energy & Recycling sites across Yorkshire. This includes - Esholt- Bradford, Naburn - York and Harrogate South.
Salary & Benefits -£38,430.00 - £56,932.00 + attractive pension + annual performance related bonus payment + 28 days holiday + Company Car + Private Healthcare
What will the role involve?
The Product and Process Manager will play a key role as part of the Energy and Recycling Team where the team's operational performance objectives are to :-
- Generate over £8m of renewable energy per year,
- Compliantly treat over 70% of Yorkshire Water's customers' waste water at 18 x Energy and Recycling sites before returning flows back to our receiving rivers, catchments and coasts.
- Provide over 300 wet tonnes per year of recycled compliant material to our regions agricultural bodies for beneficial use.
As Product and Process Manager you will manage an operational team of 24 at 3 x Energy and Recycling sites, you will encourage them to deliver excellent performance by setting clear expectations linked to business targets. The operational assets you will be responsible for include major treatment processes such as Activated Sludge; Thermal Hydrolysis including the largest Biothelys Plant in the UK; Anaerobic Digestion and recycling to agriculture in line with recognised HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) principles. You will maximise asset availability through adherence to the asset and operations plans and procedures and ensure the waste water treatment processes are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
You will drive operational improvements to maximise energy generation and minimise chemicals and consumables usage.
You will ensure your team comply with control of work and ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy.
What skills are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing and leading a team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance. You will be able to demonstrate "Production Mentality" within a process driven industry and have previous experience of business planning, resource planning and budget management.
You will have previous experience of managing & ensuring safe systems of work.
You will have excellent communication and influencing skills as a key part of the role will be liaising with colleagues across different areas of the business and external stakeholders.
A full valid EU driving licence is required for the role as you will be expected to travel to different operational sites as part of the role.
