We are looking for a Mental Health Mentor to support students on a one-to-one basis within the Cheshire area working in a large college in Learning Support.

The main responsibilities of a Mentor are to support with:


* Developing coping strategies.
* Learning to be more organised and manage their time efficiently.
* Managing their anxiety and cope with stress, both study-related and non-study related.
* Improving their confidence and motivation.

Requirements of the role:

* You must have experience of working on a one to one basis with young adults with mental health difficulties.
* You must be educated to a degree level with a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health/Counselling or similar.
* To commit to the student for the rest of the academic year

Work is part time and flexible (generally during term-time) depending on your own availability and the requirements of the student(s). There are no set or guaranteed hours so the role suits someone who is looking for flexibility in their role.
