Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Elements: -

• Engineering Improvements on all machinery & tooling related issues. Including press shop and Plastics Moulding.
• Manage the line engineering team to meet all the objectives set, to achieve the Company and department business plan.
• Control of line budgets.
• Work with the Manufacturing Section Leader to set and achieve the KPI’s for the area.
• Work with the Maintenance co-ordinators to ensure maintenance support for the line for the various shifts, weekends, holiday periods etc.
• Setting and control of departmental procedures, FMEA’s, PCP’s etc.
• Prioritise the level of engineering support for engineering activities such as new projects.
• Work closely with the Quality department in accordance with the QC system.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience working with Manufacturing Assembly, Pressing Processes & Plastic Moulding processes.
• Proven experience in a Senior Process/Manufacturing or management role.
• Must have the ability to direct, lead and motivate others whilst fostering effective team work.
• Proficient in the use of Continuous Improvement Techniques & 8D analysis.
• Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills.
• Preferably educated to a degree level or minimum HNC Level standard or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Candidates with considerable experience and capability will be considered on merit.
