The Company:
A well-established UK SME manufacturing and supplying worldwide - Primary contact for Francophone clients
Reporting Business Development Director, with additional responsibility to the Managing Director
Main duties:
To keep building relationships with existing Clients and develop new accounts (Mostly African Market)
The Role:
- Reporting to Business Development Director, with additional responsibility to the Managing Director
- 70% developing existing account - 30% developing new business
- Liaison with client base on both a proactive and reactive level for commercial enquiries
- Representation of the company primarily on a commercial level
- Also on a technical level, with the assistance of a skilled Technical Support group
- Liaison with the Operations team to ensure promises made to the client base are realistic and achievable
- Growth of francophone clients, mainly in Africa but also in other territories as required
- Support and representation of the company's portfolio & client base
- Customer Service, including the administration of after-sales enquiries
- Support and management of the quotations process,
- Generation and authorisation of quotations administered by offshore offices and use of the internal IT systems
- Support of the production of tender responses, including the organisation of supporting documentation and certifications
- Management of Tenders, quotations, bids and presales opportunities in the designated area
- Follow up of all quotations in a timely and professional manner
- Active management of the client database
The Candidate:
- Fluent in French (mother tongue standard with excellent English)
- Possess excellent communication skills, to communicate complex product information, clearly and concisely
- Enthusiasm to learn new skills and ability to grasp large amounts of product information
- Clean driving licence, including the confidence to drive on the continent
- Sales experience of dealing with owner managers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and articulate
- IT literate, with good MS Office skills
- Highly organised with good route planning and time management skills
- Ability to work to set standards and procedures
- Overseas travel as required
The Salary:
£25,000 to £30,000 pa + Bonus + benefits (Realistic OTE year1: £35K)
