Family Solicitor

Smart Solutions are presenting a fantastic opportunity for a family solicitor to join a well known and renowned firm of Solicitors. The role will include work from Bradford, Huddersfield, Rochdale and Leeds locations.The main role will be to undertake fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to his/her department.

It is vital you can contribute to the success of the firm and maintain a professional and responsible attitude at all times.


Main Responsibilities

To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations
To exercise high standards of care
To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors
To supervise and support your own immediate support staff
To keep up to date with the changes in relevant law
To comply at all times with relevant procedures
To comply with relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with in house training as may be required
To effectively manage the financial aspects of all clients files for which the fee earner is responsible for



PERSON SPECIFICATION
Minimum of 3 years experience working as a solicitor or legal executive in a family law firm
Experience of legal aid
3 years PQE Solicitor or ILEX
Organised, systematic approach to work
Able to demonstrate excellent case load management
Ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to demonstrate initiative
Panel membership or meets criteria for one or more panel
Good all round knowledge of family law
Willing to work flexible hours as needs arise
Willing to work in other branches as needs arise
Undertake training as and when required
