They are the UK's number one mobile exam preparation app, with over 20% of GCSE and A Level students using the product in peak months. This company is backed by Index Ventures and the Innocent Smoothie founders and is now expanding internationally.

They are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing, with a proven track record, who is comfortable overseeing the growing marketing team and setting the marketing strategy, whilst still being hands-on and involved in day-to-day tasks.

What the role involves:

Responsibility for the company's marketing strategy and team:
- Sitting on the company's Senior Management Team
- Formulating and implementing the company's marketing strategy
- Overseeing the Marketing Team, currently consisting of a B2B Marketing Lead and Marketing Apprentice
- Managing and allocating the company's marketing and user acquisition budget
- Working with the CEO to forecast growth and set KPIs
- Working with the product team to implement viral growth strategies
- Identifying and using relevant tools to monitor acquisition, engagement and conversion
- Hands on involvement in day-to-day tasks (digital marketing campaigns etc)

What they are looking for:

- A minimum 2.1 bachelor's degree
- Management and strategy experience
- Capable of forecasting and managing budgets
- Strong digital marketing experience
- Mobile app marketing experience
- Creative thinking with innovative approaches to both strategy and campaigns
- An understanding and interest in mobile technology and education
- Startup experience and a 'hands-on' attitude: the ability to look at the big picture whilst also getting involved in the nitty gritty
- Experience marketing to the teenage demographic (not required, but great addition)
- Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to commute to east London (Shoreditch area)
