Part Time Front of House / Snack Bar

TeamSport Birmingham is now recruiting 2 x Friday - Sunday Front of House / snack bar assistants to host our children’s laser experience paying upto £6.75/hr.  Teamsport is the UK’s #1 Indoor Karting company, with 17 exciting multi-level tracks and well maintained state of the art karts across the UK. This part time front of house / snack bar job role will be working primarily with children and their parents and will require a patient, organised and helpful attitude to allow our customers have the best possible experience on our laser circuit. The role will include the health and safety inspections of the laser circuit, booking the groups onto the system, engaging with the children when they first arrive,  giving the laser briefings so that they are easily understood, helping to marshal the event, being enthusiastic and promoting the enjoyment of the event. The role will also include upselling of other events and merchandise on offer and dealing with the cash and administration duties associated with this. We are also recruiting a number of snack bar assistants to work in our licensed bar, serving customers hot and cold food and drink as well as checking that they are having a good time and talking with them about up and coming events and other offers that they may be interested in. You will need to keep the bar area clean and tidy, help stock the fridges and bar with food and drink and work as a team to make sure our customers have a 1^st class experience at our track.

We are looking for people with a good level of education to NVQ level 2 or equivalent and with previous experience in a food or drink customer facing environment and good interpersonal skills. Please be aware that this role include evening and weekend shifts. We will be running our Recruitment Day on Wednesday 11^th November.

Duties:

• Welcome and greet children and their parents
• Briefing of the events to groups of children
• Ability to organise large groups of children in a busy, fast paced role
• Book groups onto the booking system and handle cash
• Host the events including marshalling the groups around the centre
• Health and safety checks
• Administration of the events
• Ensure that the TeamSport values are integral to all activities
• Ongoing contribution to sales of new track days and memberships

Person Details:

• Good standard of education to NVQ level 2 or similar
• Previous experience in a 7 day/week customer service environment
• Knowledge of front of house procedures
• Good interpersonal skills
• Organisational skills
• Strong communicator
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
