What's the Gas Installations Engineer role all about?

With a continual focus on our ‘expert’ status our Gas Appliance Installation division provides a first class delivery and installation service to our customers from our outbase in Spennymoor. We have exciting opportunities for Gas Safe Registered Domestic Gas Appliance Installation Engineers to work with a variety of Gas and Electric cooker installations as well as the complete range of domestic appliances including refrigeration, laundry and audio-visual (AV) products. You will be part of a team of Gas Installation Engineers based out of Spennymoor who are focused on delivering the best service to our customers, ensuring the quality of installations and safety are at the forefront of everything you do.

What will my responsibilities as a Gas Installations Engineer be?

You will be the face of the installation service, working directly with the customer in their home and will need to be a professional Gas Installations Engineer (Gas Safe Registered) with experience across all types of domestic appliances including AV products. You will have a customer focused attitude and the ability to make informed decisions in sometimes challenging situations, upholding our values at all times to ensure you deliver an excellent service. Our Gas Installations Engineers need to be up to date with current legislation, be safety and quality focused and have the ability to communicate throughout the installation process, ensuring the customer is well informed at every step of their journey with us.

The Gas Installations Engineer will focus on the following key areas:

- The safe execution of gas – and other domestic appliance installations in our Customer’s homes

- Ensure all domestic appliance installations are legally compliant

- Tackle any challenging situations with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude

- Deliver a professional and technically sound service

- Maintain respect for the customer and product at all times

- Communicate with our Customer at all times

- Promote our CARES values throughout the installations service

What skills do I NEED to have to be successful as a Gas Installations Engineer?

You must have the confidence to make important decisions when in the customer’s home engaging with the customer and communicating with multiple members of the team.

You will have an excellent knowledge of white goods home delivery and appliance installation and will be up to date with gas safe legislation and experienced in recording information for legal & audit purposes.

Qualifications

You must hold a full UK Driving Licence and certification for the following as a minimum:

- Gas safe registration

- ACS CCN1 and CKR1

- LPG qualification desired

- Cookers DOM NG/DOM LPG

- Range Cookers DOM LPG/DOM NG

- Pipework DOM NG (CORE)
