A large comprehensive secondary school graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted located in East Kent are currently looking for a DT teacher specialising in Food Technology to GCSE levels with ability to offer Hospitality as a subsidiary subject. The post is a Maternity Contract running from December 15 – July 2016.

Candidates must:

Ideally hold UK QTS/QTLS or have evidenced experience teaching GCSE and A-level Food Technology, preferably with Hospitality but not essential

Have the right to work in the UK

Be passionate about their subject and possess the ability to engage and inspire pupils

Follow school policies and procedures especially those relating to child protection and health and safety

Prepare the learning environment and resources following the schemes of work

Exemplary classroom management skills

Have proven success for improving results of pupils

Due to the nature of this position it is essential all applicants hold or are willing to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure and we must be able to
obtain teaching references spanning 2 years
