We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to further complement the existing build team. They have been recognized by leading industry experts, government agencies, and Her Majesty the Queen, having received the Queen's Award for Industry in International Trade. In addition also been given the prestigious Anchor Company status by the Welsh Government. This role will provide steady career progression within a leading technology industry sector.
Responsibilities will include:
•Working from prototype designs and engineering drawings
•The detailed build of electro-mechanical assemblies.
•Performing a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
•Liaising with the Supply Chain and Research and Development departments to ensure new and existing products are both introduced and progress smoothly through manufacturing.
•Working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Qualifications required:
Applicants will ideally either be educated to BTEC ONC level or have completed a time served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a HNC Mechanical Engineering. Alternatively have spent at least 2 years working on either the assembly of electromechanical equipment or in a precision fitting or toolmaking environment.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of mechanical and engineering protocols, fault-finding and troubleshooting.
Candidates who have worked on the build of complex electro/mechanical assembly of special purpose equipment will be of particular interest.
General Requirements:
The ideal candidate:
Will be flexible for occasional shift working and/or overtime as it will be a requirement of the role. Occasional field support involving international travel may also be required.
•Good analytical and fault finding skills
•Ability to use their own initiative
•Good communication skills
•Enjoy working in a team environment
