Care Assistant
We are working on behalf of Windmill Court Care Home to fill this vacancy. This position is based in St. Minver, Cornwall.
Windmill Court provides nursing, palliative care, day care and respite care, and can also accommodate individuals with sensory impairment and physical disabilities. The modern single storey building is home to up to 34 elderly people.

Applicants ideally will have experience of working within an elderly care home. Applicants with the NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in Health & Social Care are highly desirable however if you do not and you are seeking a career within elderly care as a Care Assistant then we can also consider your application as we provide all the training and qualifications you need for the role with all the support and guidance you need to develop your career within the private healthcare sector!
As a Care Assistant your duties and responsibilities will be:
- To have an understanding of Health and Social Care Act 2008.
- Maintain service user privacy and dignity at all times, whilst ensuring they have the right to choice.
- Help to ensure service users lead as full a life as possible.
- Assist with personal cares.
The ideal Care Assistant will have the following skills and experiences:
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to work as a team or by yourself.
- Have some knowledge of caring for the elderly, but not essential as training is given
Your working hours will be Day and Nights shifts, 35 hours per week.
In return for this you will receive a salary of £6.83 with no NVQ, or £7.35 with NVQ 2 and above.
