Job Elements: -

• To provide efficient day to day support for the Human Resource Manager, ensuring service users are provided with key information on HR processes and procedure in compliance with statutory obligations and best practice.
• To assist in the processing of employee data by utilising the Human Resources Information Systems.
• Support the Trainee Officer to ensure the successful administration and maintenance of payroll and pension and absence management related processes and activities.
• Deal with and resolve employee relation issues.
• Provide advise to line managers on all employee relations issues in line with policy and procedure.
• Research and prepare information for policy development and implementation.
• Effective case management of people related issues such as: investigations, disciplinaries, performance management, grievance and absence management including all related administration.
• To support and lead where appropriate all aspects of the recruitment process as required, ensuring that the recruitment policy/procedure is adhered to, along with best practice..
• Support formal absence review meetings
• Manage the process associated with return to work interviews. Log all sick notes on the appropriate record format.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good standard of formal education, ideally to a recognised qualification associated with a role in HR.
• Previous experience in a Human Resource function undertaking similar activities is essential
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Good knowledge of employment law
• Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as, disability, diversity and equal opportunities
• Able to deal successfully with all levels of employees confidently.
