Chichester College has an exciting opportunity for a Bar Supervisor to join the team based at their Chichester Campus on a part time basis working 28 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary pro rata of £16,134 - £17,646 per annum (i.e. £12,209.51 - £13,353.73).
As the Bar Supervisor you will oversee the day to day management and operation of the Sports Centre Sports Bar for regular bookings and for one off events.
The Bar Supervisor duties and key responsibilities:
- The day to day management and running of the Sports Bar.
- Implementing and carrying out formal training of new and existing staff, aiming to maximise staff productivity.
- Ensuring staff prepare and serve food and drink in accordance with UK law and Chichester College core values.
- Producing monthly budgetary reports and reviewing the financial situation of the bar in conjunction with targets and objectives.
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints.
- Implementing and following of procedures concerning the recording and monitoring of stock movements.
- Cash handling.
Our ideal Bar Supervisor will have the below skills and experience:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willingness to obtain
- BII – Personal Licence Holder or willingness to obtain
- First Aid at Work qualification or willingness to obtain
- Previous bar experience
- Experience of day to day management of staff
- Knowledge of licensing laws and food safety standards
This role is 28 hours per week, however there will be the ability for additional hours for one off bookings/events and for full time hours for Sept 2016 – March 2017.
Applicants must be 18 years old or over.
Working evenings and weekends make up the main hours of the job.
