Absolute is operating as a recruitment agency for the supply of permanent opportunities. We represent the regional arm of a national charity in their recruitment of a Sustainability and Development Manager to be based at their offices in Newport.
You will play a pivotal role in helping the senior management team to secure funding and develop new services to help the Charity move forward, building on its excellent reputation and helping to sustain its high quality services to service users across Gwent.
With a proven background in the voluntary sector and experience of producing successful funding bids, you will preferably be educated to degree level and be confident working with internal and external partners and funders at a professional level.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work with the Executive Directors to implement the Charity’s Business Development Plan
- To identify and secure new funding and partnership opportunities which are within the Charity’s ethos, values and strategic objectives
- To identify complementary services to those currently delivered and present them for consideration by the Executive Directors and the Board of Trustees
- To work closely with the Group Service and senior Core Managers to identify service development opportunities and source appropriate funding
- To produce business plans for new services and oversee their implementation with the appropriate member of the management team
- To take part in funding negotiations prepare service level agreements for opportunities, working closely with the Executive Directors and the Senior Management Team.
- To take a lead role in bid writing and tender submissions, assisting with the presentation of tenders to funding bodies
- To lead on the development of collaborations with local and regional agencies for the co-production of services
- To assist with the development of paid for services and source funding for their support.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of developing and submitting successful bids and tenders for the voluntary sector, and be able to work under pressure, meeting challenging targets. A driving license and access to a car for work purposes is also important.
