Customer Service Advisor

£17,000 - £20,000 basic salary plus £1,500 commission

Job description

The role of a Customer Services Advisor  is to contact clients after a protection policy has been recommended to them and complete the relevant online application form

At the agreed time, the Customer Service Advisor calls the client and runs through the application submitting all the information the client’s given directly onto the insurer’s own underwriting system. The application will be quite in-depth and will include health questionnaires so the successful candidates must be comfortable when asking questions of a personal and sensitive nature.

The Customer Service Advisor role is very busy indeed as appointments are scheduled to start every half hour. That means that each application needs to be completed in a professional, competent, friendly and timely manner

The role demands a variety of communication skills as you will be asking some very difficult and personal questions about a client’s medical history that can be quite sensitive

The Customer Service Advisor, although very demanding, is also very rewarding as you’ll be guiding your clients through what can be something of a minefield when it comes to applying for protection insurance

  • Our office operates Monday to Friday 9am-9pm, and Saturday 9am-3pm
