Business Development Manager - AC/DC power supplies - Reading
My client is a manufacturer of standard and customizable AC/DC power supplies, who have recently been through an acquisition and refined their corporate structure. They're now looking for a Business development manager based in Reading who can assume control of approximately 100 existing UK based accounts and will be tasked with maximising their potential through upsell and cross sell opportunities. The candidate will also be expected to search and locate new business opportunities with the help of our internal sales team and from your own initiative.
With a diverse product offering for industrial, medical, lighting and other sectors, it will require someone who's able to keep on top of such a broad portfolio. With a powerful brand now underpinning their products, and a strong corporate message to deliver to customers, they envisage a solid period of growth over the next 6-12 months with the right talent at the helm.
The successful candidate will need the following:
- A proven track record selling electronic components or systems
- A background developing warm accounts in to key customers
- The ability to work from the Reading office when not on travel
- The willingness to visit customers
We're not looking for a power supplies expert necessarily, but prior experience in SMPS, AC/DC or DC/DC converters, LED drivers, UPS or other power related products would be advantageous.
