Our client is a prestigious global manufacturer and is currently looking for experienced Sewing Machinists to join their team in Cwmbran, Gwent. These positions will operate on a variety of shifts, CV Application only.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
§To complete work packages in allotted time and to the right quality standard
§To recommend improvements in process, methods and cost performance
KEY TASKS & DUTIES:
§Have a good working knowledge of all types of sewing machines.
§Have experience working with various materials, e.g. leather, suede, medium and heavy upholstery.
§Have the ability to follow pattern requirements.
§Have in depth knowledge of patterning, trim and sewing methods.
§Have the ability to produce samples for production.
§To maximize the use of materials and processes.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
(Essential minimum requirements to undertake the role)
§Experience in a similar work environment.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
§ Production Team Leader
§ Quality Assurance Technician
§ Manufacturing Trainer
§ External training providers
§ Training Verifiers
OTHER CONDITIONS:
§ Ability to work with minimum supervision
§ Flexible in approach to duties and working hours
§ Dextrous, quality conscious, with a keen eye for detail
