We are looking to recruit for a number of Care and Support Worker posts in the Preston area. As a Care Worker you'll be responsible for providing a care and support service to vulnerable adults living in their own homes, and in return we can offer you flexible working, excellent rates of weekly pay, mileage paid at 20p a mile, free company mobile and the opportunity to undertake qualifications and training.

Experience isn't required but we are looking for candidates who are caring and passionate about helping others.

Area's covered include; Preston, Lea, Ashton, Penwortham, Longton, Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Chorley, New Longton, Ribbleton, Broughton, Fulwood, Freckleton, Kirkham, Walmer Bridge and surrounding areas.

The Role:

As a Care Assistant / Care and Support Worker you'll be visiting elderly and vulnerable adults in their own homes providing personal care and support in order to maintain and promote independence within their own homes. Your main tasks will include;

  • Assisting clients with personal care - to include washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Preparation of snacks and meals and assisting with feeding where needed.
  • Assisting with light domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and washing.
  • Updating the daily log of care.
  • To attend training courses that will assist you in the carrying out of your duties.

The Successful Candidate:

  • It is ESSENTIAL that you are a driver with your own vehicle. In domiciliary care, care assistants are required to drive between services users homes within a designated period of time.
  • Experience as a Care Assistant / Carer / Support Worker would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Has a caring nature and a genuine empathy for the welfare of vulnerable adults.
  • Is able to communicate effectively in a clear and logical manner to a wide variety of people.
  • You'll need to be flexible, enthusiastic and willing to undertake training and qualifications.
