Learning Support Assistant
Grade 5 £10,101 per annum
18 hours per week, term time only

St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint learning support assistant to join our school supporting pupils with special education needs.

Applicants should have experience working with children who have a range of additional needs including social communication and speech and language difficulties. Applicants should have experience following recommendations and carrying out programmes provided by outside agencies such as Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language/ Occupational Therapists.

Applicants should be able to follow directions from and work collaboratively with other members of staff including class teachers and the Inclusion Manager. Applicants should also be confident and able to use their initiative in order to support the pupil in response to the individual’s needs.

Applicants should be prepared to be flexible with their working hours to ensure that the individuals’ needs are met through the support being provided.

Applicants should be committed to working within the Catholic ethos of our school.

The position will be reviewed annually depending on the needs of the individual pupil you will be working with.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
