Rehabilitation Case Manager (Clinical Supervisor) - Main purpose of the job:

• Responsible for enhancing the quality of the work undertaken by the relevant team, (Croydon / Manchester) and maximising financial performance.
• Provide line management to their direct reports, providing support and guidance on a daily basis.
• Responsible for customer delight, clinical excellence and achieving positive outcomes on own cases
• Responsible to assist in the continuous improvement of the service and work with the leadership team to support business growth and development.

Location:

Located at the Manchester or Croydon office; travel to our client's customer / client sites within the UK will be a regular feature of the Rehabilitation Case Manager (Clinical Supervisor) role in both customer facing activities and on management of your own case load.

Reports To: Head of Clinical Operations
Responsible For: Supervision of team members, ensuring that the team meets quality and revenue targets
Frequent Liaison With: Clinical Supervisors, Customer Account Managers, Quality Manager, Clinical Leads and specialist RCMs; Customers, Suppliers (as appropriate)

Rehabilitation Case Manager (Clinical Supervisor) - Key Accountabilities:

Service delivery:

Ensure that self and the team work in line with agreed service standards, KPIs, timescales; ensure these are communicated and understood, and take necessary action to improve individual and team performance.

Quality (clinical and service excellence):

Provide clinical supervision and advice for members of the team, to achieve excellence in clinical decision making and the best possible outcomes on cases; seek advice from Quality Manager, clinical leads, specialists etc. as applicable; conduct case reviews and file audits as directed by the Quality Manager.

Customer profitability:

Supervise and support staff within the team to achieve revenue targets; suggest efficiency savings, if appropriate, and implement agreed changes.

Customer contact and liaison:

Take account of customer requirements when delivering case management services, and ensure these are understood by members of the team; provide high standards of customer care.

Working relationships:

Provide day-to-day oversight, support, coaching and supervision for designated members of the team; raise performance concerns with the individual when noted or at monthly supervision session and take agreed action; facilitate appraisals; develop good working relationships with clinical leads, specialist RCMs and Sales colleagues, and seek advice as required.

Work in accordance with policies and procedures in relation to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity, and other company policies.

Other:

Any other projects or tasks relevant to the team or department, as directed by the Director of Clinical Operations.

Systems:

All case work is done through the case management database; also regular use of MS Office software, internet, other databases.

Caseload, targets:

The post holder will carry a caseload. The billable hours target will be reduced to take account of the supervisory responsibilities.

Rehabilitation Case Manager (Clinical Supervisor) - Person specification:

Experience:

• Clinical and / or case management experience; must be familiar with rehabilitation case management in the UK and company / customer processes and standards.
• Demonstrable experience within the supervision of others; alternatively an ability to challenge, support, and develop others.

Qualification:

Relevant degree e.g. Nursing, OT, Physio, Sports Rehabilitation (Exercise Physiology), Psychology; likely to have HPC membership; will be a member of CMS UK / VRA / BPS.

Skills:

• Excellent case management skills and track record of delivering quality services.
• Clinical reasoning and decision making.
• Communication, coaching, giving feedback, assertiveness and people skills.
• Ability to set realistic goals, make plans to achieve them and estimate timeframes.
• Time management and ability to plan and prioritise work.
• Good written communication and report-writing.

Other:

• Flexibility around working hours and ability to travel throughout the UK for assessments and meetings.
• If managing the post remotely must be able to commit to at least fortnightly Croydon office visits
