This is an opportunity to join an integrated consulting and software company providing economic and planning solutions and services to the upstream oil and gas industry with offices in the UK, US, Canada, India, Australia and Singapore.
Due to growth, they are looking for a strong and determined individual to join as an IT Support Engineer providing 1st and 2nd line support.
Job Description
As part of the global support team, your duties will include but not be restricted to:
- Providing technical support to internal and external users
- Creating and deploying images to desktop and laptops
- Administer users through Active Directory and Exchange
- Administration and tracking of IT hardware, software and licensing
- Assisting the IT Administrator with projects
Person Specification:
- Experience of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 installation and administration including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
- Demonstrated experience of supporting Windows 7 clients in a domain environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange
- Cisco ASM and/or command line capabilities
- MCITP certified (or equivalent through experience)
- At least 3 years of experience working in a help desk environment
- Calm under pressure and able to work in a team
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have:
- Sharepoint 2013 administration
- System Centre 2013
