Blue Sky Enabling Ltd is an expanding dynamic organisation specialising in flexible person-centred services that enable people living with disabilities and complex needs to live lives of their own choosing as included members of the community.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Administrator to join this expanding company to provide support to the Office Manager, and help to build the organisation’s administrative capabilities.
As an Accounts / Office Administrator your key responsibilities will include:
- Communications: You will be the first point of call in the office, operate as a meet and great for visitors to the office.
- Office Administration: Filing; writing envelopes; taking minutes; photocopying; printing; creating documents; collating documents; and data input.
- Accounts Administration: Data input within Sage Instant Accounts (software).
- Upkeep of the office: Help to water the plants, keep their own workspace tidy, and helping to keep the office well organised and supplied.
- Personal Assistant to the Office Manager: Accompany the Office Manager to a number of different business functions outside of the office.
An ideal Accounts / Office Administrator will hold the following skills:
- Have a good sense of humour, friendly manner, sensitive approach, and the ability to empathise.
- Good communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with people of all ages, from a wide range of different backgrounds.
- Good written, verbal and IT skills.
- Have a headstrong, go-getter attitude.
Your working hours will be 20 hours per week (Monday to Thursday), and in return you will receive an annual salary of £16,000 pro rata.
Scope:
If you are driven and wish to further your training, you may be given the opportunity to enter into a tailored development track potentially leading towards a management role within the company. Advancement into management within BSE will be possible, but not guaranteed. You will have to prove to the company that you are able to attain high achievement levels in both academic work and the work that you do in the office. The managerial role itself will be discussed with you gradually as you move along the progression route. So if you have an idea that you want to be in management but you don’t know what side of management you enjoy the most, not a problem, we will play to your strengths. The company will guide you in such a way that you are able to reach your full potential. There will therefore be many paths you can take.
