Our accountancy client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team.
In this role it will be your job to manage clients, provide advice, deal with bookkeeping and VAT and provide payroll function support.
To be a good fit for this role you will need to have experience within accountancy and have previously dealt with HMRC and have worked on PAYE, VAT and VAT returns, CIS, etc. You will be organised, have strong numeracy and communication skills and be a whizz with Excel. Finally, IRIS software knowledge would set you apart from the crowd.
Duties will include:
o Deal with HMRC
o Managing own clients
o Dealing with bookkeeping and VAT
o To provide support on payroll functions
o Advising clients : in person and via email and/or telephone
o Work on PAYE, VAT and VAT returns, CIS
What we are looking for:
o Experience within an accountancy
o Experience of dealing with PAYE coding, VAT and VAT returns, CIS
o Experience of dealing with HMRC
o Knowledge of how Companies House works
o First class communication skills : both spoken and written
o Good Microsoft Office knowledge : especially Excel
o Good numeracy skills
o Organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload
o A team player with an engaging personality
o IRIS software knowledge would be beneficial
