Tax accountant

A superb opportunity has arisen with a fast growing financial services company in Cheltenham. Our client is looking for an experienced Tax Accountant.

Key responsibilities:

*Prepare company accounts including CT600 tax returns using sage accounts production & corporation tax.
*Prepare director/shareholder personal tax returns using sage personal tax.
*Deal with routine income tax computations, including rental income, savings and pensions, taking into account changes of income levels for payment on account planning.
*Review of tax coding notices, liaising with HMRC.
*Deal with HMRC correspondence.
*Deal with client queries and correspondence on their affairs.
*Respond to business critical administration - including Money Laundering requirements.
*Contact clients directly on all aspects of their accounting & tax affairs and be encouraged to build your client relationships via email, phone and meetings.
Ideally the candidate will have the following qualifications/skills:
*Qualified ATT/CTA
*Must have experience working in a practice with strong compliance, minimum 3 years
*Clear, literate writing skills
*Proficient in Word and Excel
*Have a desire to think beyond the obvious, spotting inconsistencies, looking for opportunities and asking questions
*Experience/working knowledge of Sage personal tax, accounts production or similar and Xero
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £30k
The working hours are 9am-5:30pm
