General Kitchen Assistant

Our client is a national food manufacturer based in Warwickshire and they are looking for a General Kitchen Assistant to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

You will be working with one of their key departments supporting the whole team and the Line Manager with a number of duties.

Mainly you will be responsible for the following:
General kitchen housekeeping duties to ensure all areas are clean and tidy at all times
All cupboards are stocked and well maintained
Cupboards and fridges/freezers are regularly checked to ensure items are in date
All main work surfaces are thoroughly cleaned each day and all waste is disposed of correctly
Liasing with other departments to pre-order and collect raw materials from other areas and be responsible for collection of these materials

In addition to this, you will also be required at times to assist with the following:
Helping with customers and visitors who visit site with coffee, tea and sundries as required
Shopping for ingredients, samples and visitor lunches as required
Supporting the department team with preparation/presentation of product samples

Ideally, you will have worked a food production or catering role previously and hold relevant food hygiene certificates. This isnt essential though as training will be provided for the job

You must have a full valid driving licence and have a good understanding of English and show good communicative skills with managers, co-workers and visitors. Basic computer literacy is essential also.
