Giant Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join the team based in Canary Wharf, London. You will be on a full time permanent contract with a highly competitive salary.

Senior Payroll Administrator – Job Role and Purpose

- The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring all tasks assigned to them and their team players are completed accurately and on time as well as assisting with the training and development of the Payroll Team.

- The purpose of the Senior Payroll Administrator is to support team members and ensuring that the work allocated to the team is executed satisfactorily. 

Key responsibilities as our Senior Payroll Administrator

- Assist Supervisor with Coaching and training the team routinely

- Payroll Administrators’ first point of contact and support when answering queries, dealing with complaints and support your supervisor identify training needs 

- Setting performance standards for payroll administrators to look to and aspire to

- Participating in and recommending projects or changes to develop and improve processes

- Proposing content and contributing to team meetings in a meaningful way

- Assist your Supervisor with high risk administration tasks such as Employer pension process, RTI, Credit notes, Year End and Payroll Termination.

- Assisting your Supervisor by ensuring daily and regular tasks are completed within timetable and with proper controls, including checking that all input has been verified and signed off prior to processing

- Filling in for Supervisors in instances of absence

- Processing daily, weekly and monthly payrolls, including calculating payslips, checking error reports & payslips, liaising with ESO’s and Clients where needed, creating BACs/Swift files

- Processing all daily rota tasks with your team using the checklists and procedures provided

- Responding to client feedbacks and email queries, ensuring Service Levels Agreements are met

- Answering telephone calls, referring any difficult queries to Line Manager or Supervisor

- Ensure all procedures are kept up to date at all times

- Raising any team concerns with your management team

- Planning and allocating work across the team with your supervisor

Knowledge & Experience needed to become our Senior Payroll Administrator

- Proven experience of running payrolls

- Excellent customer service skills

- Personal organisation and prioritisation skills

- Knowledge of Resource Link or other automated payroll systems

- Business understanding

- Ability and understanding of Tax, NI calculations, statutory benefits, DWP forms

- Ability to communicate technically with statutory bodies
