Product Consultant - Payroll Solutions - Leeds
Package: £30-40k Plus Benefits
A leading supplier of software solutions & services require a Product & Consultant to be responsible working on the ongoing development of their Payroll Software suite.
You will provide consultancy and training to customers and liaise with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of software training, consultancy and documentation to customers.
Duties:
Take a lead role on the development of a payroll product.
Attend project and technical meetings, as required, to discuss customer and product requirements.
Monitor customer consultancy requirements throughout a project to continuously assess the customer’s needs and pre-empt any issues.
Form part of the project team, led by project manager and perform tasks allocated through the project plan
Attend project and technical meetings and discuss requirements. Ability to design, execute and summarise test cases.
Produce and/or contribute to business justification documents and development specifications for new and enhanced functionality.
Assist with testing of the product in line with the development release cycle.
Produce user guides and technical documentation for new and enhanced functionality.
Offer input into the future design and development of the Software suite
Maintain standard products in line with industry best practice and product changes.
Skills Required:
Extensive knowledge of HMRC legislation and guidelines.
Payroll experience in manually calculating PAYE using relevant tax tables.
The ability to manage and run multiple / large payrolls with different frequency of payment and pay dates.
Ideal Skills:
Have a specific payroll or accounting qualification or working toward one.
CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professions) have varying payroll qualifications.
AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) - financial / accounting based qualification.
CIPP - National Payroll Certificate
