Retail Sales Team Manager with excellent supervisory / management and customer service skills required for a full-time regional / area management job with a Global Company.

 

** FULL TRAINING PROVIDED **

Previous experience in Foreign Exchange / Travel Money would be desirable, although not essential as Full Training will be provided. However, you should have a previous management / supervisory background and great customer service skills.

 

SALARY: £22,000 per annum + Car

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Regional Retail Sales Team Manager that enjoys working within a customer facing environment and has great management / supervisory skills.

Working as the Regional Retail Sales Team Manager your territory will cover the Company’s bureau concession outlets located in Bournemouth, Havant, Fareham, Eastleigh, Poole, Weymouth, Taunton and Falmouth, where you will oversee the daily operations of the Company’s Travel Money Bureaus, promoting the Company’s brand and products offering a first class professional service and customer experience.

As the Regional Retail Sales Team Manager you will manage a diverse team of full-time and part-time staff in each branch where you will lead, inspire and support your staff to ensure the bureau’s targets are met and maintained.

Your responsibilities as the Regional Retail Sales Team Manager will include driving the business forward, ensuring each bureau achieves its financial targets through cost management and profit and loss controls, in addition to generating and identifying new business opportunities.

Working in a similar role or within a travel agents or banking environment would be extremely desirable, although not essential. However, successful candidates will need to have great customer service and management skills with the ability to sell and motivate teams within a retail based environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive performance and development along with being responsible for the day-to-day management activities, guidance, motivation and development of your team
  • Achieve KPIs set by the business whilst working in a highly pressurised, target driven environment
  • Ensure full compliance with all business and legal regulatory requirements
  • Actively seek to generate and identify new business opportunities to drive bureau growth
  • Apply clear and effective communication to all corners of the business
  • Be able to build strong relationships with all levels of the business

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Have the ability to lead and take control
  • Must be willing for a travel / field based role, as you will be required to visit all the branches in your territory on a regular basis
  • Must have a passion for listening and interacting with your team and customers
  • Ideally have a retail, sales or customer service background (Travel Money experience is not essential)
  • Be able to think broadly and strategically, identifying opportunities and solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell
  • Enjoys working to targets and KPIs set by the business
  • Shows an understanding of business, commerce and finance
  • Is confident working with numbers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works to a high attention of detail
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Suite)
  • Be able to provide a checkable student / work history, plus achieve a clear credit and criminal record check

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Previous experience within a similar role, foreign exchange / FX,  travel agency or banking environment
  • Knowledge of Money handling procedures or Anti-Money Laundering
  • Audit and risk experience
  • Multi-site management experience
  • Change management
  • Attained a ‘C’ or above in Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
