The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK within the statutory framework of various EC Directives and Regulations, and the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
We currently have a vacancy for an IT Systems Developer (Executive Officer level) based in Addlestone, Surrey. The core work of this post is to design, develop and implement bespoke software solutions; produce high level reports using specialised reporting tools and provide technical support.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or relevant experience in this role is essential. In view of the nature of this post it is essential that the new post holder has a high proficiency in the more technical aspects of IT. They should have a good background and depth of understanding of IT and how it will support the needs of the business.
