Marketing Manager - Software - London
Package: £50k plus Car allowance & excellent benefits
A leading supplier of Software Solutions require a Marketing Manager to be responsible for marketing planning and fulfilment to a growing business developing specialist application software.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing communications, and oversee a proficient team, in or der to support achievement of the sector business plans and growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
Under general direction, plan, implement and report marketing and communications activities for software products and related services, managing a team of marketing professionals.
Develop and deliver appropriate unit plans and programmes by the team within budget to sustain a market leading position, drive new business development and support achievement of the business plan.
Ensure development of appropriate software marketing team resources.
Work with executive management and unit MDs to develop, monitor and meet unit marketing and communications objectives; build good working relationships with management and sales.
Quality marketing activities delivered on time to satisfaction of management and sales teams.
Plan and implement projects and go-to-market campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets, developing tools and materials to enable sales achievement.
Work with sales and operational teams on content creation to bring together clear propositions, messaging and references and to produce effective content for digital media and collateral.
Work with sales teams to drive marketing campaigns and supporting content to increase market and customer awareness and lead generation.
Support corporate brand and identity standards, working with corporate communications manager to deliver consistent external communications.
Communicate clearly articulated positioning through appropriate branding, collateral, public relations, digital media, events, advertising and promotions.
Drive thought leadership to establish the company as a market leader for customer groups served
Provide local implementation of corporate strategy and vision through clear, consistent and regular marketing communications
Work with marketing and internal communications team to establish strong understanding across the business of product and service offerings and customer value
Responsible for managing and implementing all relevant elements of the communications mix including traditional and new channels
Provide client marketing support and subject matter expertise to the sales team, developing tools and activities to increase sales effectiveness.
Support relationships with external entities such as government bodies, analysts, industry associates and consultants.
Key Skills:
Experienced marketing communications manager with proven record including management of marketing activity, team and budget, ideally with professional marketing qualification
Previous software and/or technology marketing experience essential with strong grasp of appropriate marketing and communications fulfilment
Strong interpersonal and marketing management skills to deliver a sustained set of timely results that generate increased awareness, stronger positioning and sales enablement
Customer orientation with strong grasp of customer business value
Good project management and content management skills
Awareness and appreciation of marketing automation and data-based marketing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to act as spokesperson and to articulate market trends, customer business value and technology-based propositions
Strongly self-motivated and directed, able to set and manage priorities judiciously and to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Able to influence at all levels
Able to drive change based on changing needs of the business and/or market
Sound business and commercial judgement, able to set and manage priorities judiciously
