Production Planner

Job Elements: -

• To plan material and resources in the most efficient manner possible whilst ensuring the service of our customers is maintained at the highest level, surpassing industry best practice where feasible.
• Co-ordinate the production plans
• Co-ordinate and control Inventory
• Co-ordinate plans with the operations departments to support on time delivery in full
• Chair planning meetings
• Monitor machine performance against the plan and initiate corrective action as required
• Ensure KPIs are achieved through working closely with the department managers
• Liaise with the Logistics Department on a regular basis to maintain an efficient raw material pipeline

The ideal candidate will have:

• Educated to degree level/graduate calibre
• CIPS desirable/studying towards
• Held a planning role in a manufacturing environment
• Experience and understanding of MRP systems, preferably SAP
• Report generation Access/Excel
• Proven problem solving skills
• Demonstrating creative solutions, e.g. introduce changes to processes to eliminate issues from reoccurring
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills
